Venture98 LLC is an independent software company. We build apps for problems where the details matter, and we would rather ship fewer things that are right than many that are not.
What we make
Quirks is for people who eat with food allergies and the people who cook for them. It puts allergen information at the level of the individual dish, so the question is "can I eat this?" and not just "is this a good restaurant?" Read more about Quirks.
Quire is a notebook for iPad. Handwriting and typed text sit in one document, in one order, and the notes are plain files in a folder you choose, so nothing about them depends on us. Read more about Quire.
How we work
- Plain language. Our privacy policy and terms are written to be read, and each app's help says what it will not do as clearly as what it will.
- Your information stays yours. We collect what an app needs to work and say exactly what that is. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
- Small on purpose. There are no armies of support agents. When you write to us, a person answers, though not always immediately.

The name
Element 98 on the periodic table is californium. Our two apps carry that "98" in their icons, and Venture98 is the element they both come from.
